Optional Inspection Extras:

Thermal Imaging – from $120 

Thermal imaging is used to detect issues associated with possible leaks, moisture, mould and insulation. A thermal imaging inspection can alert you to any hidden faults or problem areas in your home. 

Aerial Drone inspection - from $350

New Zealand Building Inspections Ltd uses the Mavic Pro Drone. This drone has the capability of shooting 12 mega pixel photos and 4k videos. The benefit of using a drone as part of your inspection is that that your building inspector can inspect and assess any damage or maintenance issues in areas of your property which cannot normally be accessed safely or easily.

Floor Level Survey with detailed plotted report - from $300.

New Zealand Building Inspections Ltd uses a Zip Level Pro-2000, a high precision altimeter to plot a detailed floor level survey with an accuracy of +/-2mm. This allows New Zealand Building Inspections Ltd to accurately measure and record any variations in the floor levels of your home, and to establish whether the levels are within MBIE guidelines.

Sub-floor Inspection with a sub-floor robot - from $300

New Zealand Building Inspections Ltd uses a Techmatics Sub-floor robot, with a high definition camera that can take photos and video. The robot can get into areas not physically possible or safe for people to inspect, measuring 120mm in height.
